Join children's author Miranda Paul for a kid-friendly eTrip around the world!

As Part of the Cormier School Toddler Diversity Playgroup, Mrs. Paul will be showcasing top storybook, game, and language apps that are fun with an international focus.  Snacks will be provided, and a couple of digital iPads and/or devices will be on hand - but please feel free to bring your smartphones, tablets, and more so our toddlers can explore the world in a digital way!

Light the firecrackers! SCBWI-Wisconsin’s Annual Fall Retreat is 20 years old! Come join us for a weekend of learning, networking and good times galore! As usual, we have a fabulous faculty consisting of highly accomplished and highly esteemed folks who know the craft and the business inside and outside— and backwards and forwards! 

Authors Kathleen Duey and Marsha Wilson Chall, Illustrator LeUyen Pham, Editors Cheryl Klein (Arthur Levine Books-Scholastic) and Andrea Welch (Beach Lane Books-Simon & Schuster), Agent Tracey Adams (Adams Literary) and Kathleen Horning, Director of the CCBC will highlight the weekend. Together, they’ll fill our minds with new ideas and our souls with inspiration. Sandwiched in between, you’ll find critique sessions, break-out sessions and plenty of kid-lit bonding with your writer/illustrator pals—old  and new.

Love to write stories?  Join local author Miranda Paul as we explore the library and write and revise our own stories.  You'll leave camp writing better stories and the courage to read them out loud or submit them to be published!  Please bring a short story you’ve written with you on the first day of camp (10 pgs. double-spaced or less).
